The Coffee Bean Rewards Program Terms & Conditions

The Coffee Bean® Rewards Program ("Rewards Program") and The Coffee Bean® Rewards Program Application (the "App") is offered by International Coffee & Tea, LLC doing business as The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® ("Company", "we", or "us"). These Rewards Program Terms and Conditions ("Rewards Program Terms and Conditions") apply only to the Rewards Program offered herein, and not to any other website, mobile app, product, service or program offered by us.
The Rewards Program is available to enrolled members at participating Company locations in the United States of America ("United States"). Rewards (as defined below) accumulated under the Rewards Program are promotional and have no cash value. There are no membership fees associated with the Rewards Program.
1. Eligibility to Enroll in Rewards Program
The Rewards Program is intended for personal, non-commercial use only. This Rewards Program is not targeted towards, or intended to be used by, children under the age of 13. If you are between the ages of 13 and 18, you may only enroll and use the Rewards Program under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Rewards Program Terms and Conditions. By enrolling in the Rewards Program, you represent that you are at least 13 years old.
You may enroll in the Rewards Program if you: (1) are at least 13 years of age; (2) are a resident of the United States; (3) have an active, valid e-mail address; and (4) are a human being.
2. Joining the Rewards Program
You can enroll in the Rewards Program by logging-in to an existing account in the App or on coffeebeanrewards.com, or by registering for the Rewards Program by creating an account on the App or on coffeebeanrewards.com ("Account").
In order to create an Account through the App, you must (1) download the App, (2) provide a first and last name, (3) provide an active and valid email address, (4) provide your birthday, and (5) provide a password. Providing a phone number is optional.
In order to create an Account through coffeebeanrewards.com, you must (1) provide a first and last name, (2) provide an active and valid email address, (3) provide your birthday, and (4) provide a password. Providing a phone number is optional.
You also have the option to enroll in the Rewards Program through your Facebook account. If you enroll in the Rewards Program using your Facebook account, the Company will collect the public profile information in your Facebook account.
Your Account as it is related to the Rewards Program is your "Rewards Program Account".
3. Earning Points
After registering and verifying an Account, and completing your first Qualifying Purchase (as defined below), you will be eligible to earn one (1) point ("Point") for every full dollar you spend (after any applicable discounts but before taxes), rounded down or up for every half dollar to the nearest dollar, at any participating The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® retail location, subject to certain exclusions. For example, if you spend $6.15 on Qualifying Purchase(s) (as defined below), you will earn six (6) Points; if you spend $6.85 on Qualifying Purchase(s) (as defined below), you will earn seven (7) Points. You will not earn Points for purchases of gift cards, charitable donations or taxes.
A "Qualifying Purchase" is a purchase of at least one dollar ($1.00).
In order to earn Points, you must scan, at the time of purchase, the QR code that is generated in the App by pressing the "Check-In" button in the "Scan" page of the App. Subject to the preceding sentence, Points earned will be posted to your Rewards Program Account not later than twenty-four (24) hours after the applicable Qualifying Purchase. The Points available at any time in your Rewards Program Account will equal the aggregate amount of Points earned less the aggregate amount of Points converted into Rewards (the "Available Point Balance").
Points earned from the same transaction may only be posted to one (1) Rewards Program Account. All Points earned from the same transaction will be posted to the Rewards Program Account associated with the QR code that is provided at the time of purchase.
4. Conversion of Points into Rewards
Depending on your Rewards Program Tier (as defined below), when you have accrued forty (40) or fifty (50) Points, Company will automatically convert the Points into one (1) Reward ("Reward"). The Rewards available at any time in your Rewards Program Account will equal the aggregate amount of Rewards converted from Points, less (a) the aggregate amount of redeemed Rewards, and (b) the aggregate amount of expired Rewards ("Available Rewards Balance").
5. Welcome Reward
Upon registering for the Rewards Program and verifying your Account, Company will post a Reward valid for fifty percent (50%) off one (1) drink purchase (a "Welcome Reward") to your Account. A Welcome Reward expires fourteen (14) days after posting to your Rewards Program Account. Welcome Reward excludes ready to drink bottled beverages. Offers do not apply to any applicable sales tax or for sign-ups on coffeebean.olo.com, or on store.coffeebean.com. Limit one (1) offer per customer, per device.
After first The Coffee Bean® Rewards checkin, users will unlock the Discovery Pass and one (1) FREE Baked Good. The Discovery Pass Offer for ten percent (10%) off your order once daily for 30 days when scanning in your The Coffee Bean® Rewards app and one (1) FREE baked good are limit to one (1) offer per customer. Discovery Pass and one (1) FREE Baked Good offer must be redeemed within thirty (30) days of receipt. Offer does not apply to any applicable sales tax, delivery fees, tips, and/or gift cards, or on store.coffeebean.com. Limit one (1) offer per customer.
Promotional offers must be presented at time of purchase. Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, promotion, or discount. Not valid on previous purchases. No cash value, except where required by law. No substitutions. No rainchecks. Company reserves the right to withdraw, or change, the offer’s terms, and conditions at any time, at Company’s discretion, and without notice. While supplies last.
6. Birthday Reward
Upon (i) registering for the Rewards Program, (ii) verifying your Account, (iii) and completing a Qualifying Purchase (as defined below) four (4) months before your birthday, Company will post a Reward for one (1) complimentary behind-the-bar beverage (pre-packaged beverages excluded) or fresh bakery item (a "Birthday Reward") to your Reward Program Account on your birthday. A Birthday Reward expires three (3) days after posting to your Rewards Program Account.
7. Promotional Offers
Company may, from time to time, post certain promotional offers ("Promotional Offer(s)") to your Rewards Program Account. Promotional Offers will be subject to the terms and conditions of each respective Promotional Offer, including, without limitation, Qualifying Purchases and applicable expiration dates.
8. Redemption of Rewards, Welcome Rewards, Birthday Rewards and Promotional Offers
You may not redeem Rewards, Welcome Rewards or Birthday Rewards for cash, except as required by law. In order to redeem a Reward, Welcome Reward, Birthday Reward or Promotional Offer, you must scan, at the time of purchase, the QR code that is generated in the App for that particular Reward. Each time you redeem a Reward, Welcome Reward, Birthday Reward or Promotional Offer, Company will remove it from your Rewards Program Account.
Once you earn a Reward, you may start accumulating Points towards another Reward. You may use more than one (1) Reward, Welcome Reward, or Birthday Reward and Promotional Offer (or any combination thereof) in the same transaction. You may not use a Reward, Welcome Reward or Birthday Reward to satisfy any requirement of any Promotional Offer that you purchase any item. For example, if you have a received a buy-one-get-one-free Promotional Offer, you cannot use a Reward, Welcome Reward or Birthday Reward for one (1) item and then receive one (1) item free as part of the Promotional Offer.
9. Expiration of Rewards, Welcome Rewards, Birthday Rewards and Promotional Offers
Rewards shall expire thirty (30) days following conversion from Points and posting to your Available Awards Balance. Welcome Rewards shall expire fourteen (14) days after being posted to your Available Awards Balance. Birthday Rewards shall expire three (3) days after being posted to your Available Awards Balance. Promotional Offers shall expire in accordance with its respective terms and conditions.
10. Reward Program Tiers

Currently, there are three (3) tiers within the Rewards Program ("Tiers"), as determined by the cumulative number of Points earned within the consecutive twelve (12) month period following the day you reached your most recent Tier ("Anniversary Date"), without subtracting your Rewards Point Balance ("Cumulative Points Balance").
When joining the Rewards Program, you are automatically enrolled in the Purple Tier. Prior Rewards Program members are enrolled in the Platinum Tier.
Once in the Platinum or VIP Tier, you must earn at least two hundred forty (240) Points during each consecutive twelve (12) month period following your Anniversary Date to remain in your Tier. If you do not earn at least two hundred forty (240) Points during each twelve (12) month period, your Rewards Program Account will drop to the next Tier. (Rewards Program Accounts in the VIP Tier will be reset to the Platinum Tier [300 Points], and Rewards Program Accounts in the Platinum Tier will be reset to the Purple Tier [0 Points].)
11. Bonus Points
Company will give you the opportunity to earn Points when you complete certain activities.
- Digital Gift Card: Earn five (5) Points when adding your first digital gift card to the App.
- Bonus Point Events: Select participating stores on select days will have events where you can earn bonus Points.
12. Linked Gift Cards
You may link one (1) or more gift cards to your Account via the App. You can manage your gift cards through the App or through coffeebeanrewards.com.
13. Unauthorized Access or Use
Company is not responsible for any unauthorized access of your Rewards Program Account or any unauthorized use of any Reward, Welcome Reward, Birthday Reward or Promotional Offer in your Rewards Program Account. If you believe any such unauthorized access or use has occurred, you may notify us at info@coffeebean.com or 1-800-TEA-LEAF (1-800-832-5323). Upon receipt of such notification, Company will help you set up a new account and transfer your existing Points and Available Rewards Balance (if any). However, Company will not reinstate rewards that were redeemed by an unauthorized user of your Rewards Program Account.
14. Balance Inquiry and Transaction History
You can view and track your Points balances and available Rewards on the App. You can also check the purchase transactions for which you earned Points on the App.
15. Opt Out of Rewards Program
You may opt out of the Rewards Program by contacting Company at info@coffeebean.com or 1-800-TEA-LEAF (1-800-832-5323). Once you have opted out of the Rewards Program, you may not earn additional Points in your Rewards Program Account, and the Available Points Balance and outstanding Rewards in your Rewards Program Account will expire immediately.
16. Disclosure of Information to Third Parties
Company only shares your personal identification information in accordance with Company's Privacy Policy.
17. Amendments and Termination of the Rewards Program
Company has the right at any time, with or without giving you prior notice, to:
- change, modify and/or end or cancel the Rewards Program and/or any specific Reward;
- change any Reward or other Rewards Program benefit we offer;
- change the requirements for earning a particular Reward;
- change the time you have in which to earn a particular Reward;
- change any other feature of the Rewards Program; and/or
- suspend or terminate any Rewards Program Account and/or your participation in the Rewards Program.
Any changes or modifications are effective immediately upon posting to the www.CoffeeBeanRewards.com website, and/or, The Coffee Bean® Rewards Application. Your continued use of the Rewards Program confirms your acceptance of these Rewards Program Terms and Conditions, and any subsequent changes or modifications. For that reason, you should review these Rewards Program Terms and Conditions frequently to understand the applicable Rewards Program Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to the Rewards Program Terms and Conditions, you must stop participating in the Rewards Program.
If we end the Rewards Program, Rewards you have earned but not used will expire on the end date, and you may not redeem any Rewards or use any credits after the end date.
18. General Rewards Program Terms and Conditions
Your Rewards Account is personal to you and may not be sold, transferred or assigned to, or shared with family, friends or others, or be used for commercial purposes. You may have only one (1) Rewards Program Account.
As a part of the Rewards Program, Company will send you transactional, informational, promotional messages and/or offers. These communications may happen in the form of push notifications through the App, email, and/or any other ways you may have selected when you enrolled in the Rewards Program. If your contact information changes, or if you wish to change your contact information or the method by which we send you messages, please log into your Rewards Account and update your contact information or preferences. You may also opt out of receiving these communications by changing the "Notification Preferences" on the "Account Settings" page that you can access by pressing the "More" button.
These Rewards Program Terms and Conditions complement and incorporate by reference the App's Terms and Conditions. In the event of any conflict between these Rewards Program Terms and Conditions and the App's Terms and Conditions, the App's Terms and Conditions will control.
